End of 2010

People, news outlets and blogs are bemoaning the celebs lost this year or raving over Biebel or bubbles or whatever his name is or the fake celebs like Paris the moron Hilton or the Kartrashians. What about the kids who died from being bullied, the hardworking men and women who die trying to provide for their families?

What about the babies born under amazing circumstances or the random acts of kindness that occurred everyday somewhere in this world? What about the first steps, first words of babies or the last steps and the last words of the elderly?

This year has seen changes for good and bad, people who will never be famous have died, but they left so much behind. Frances Lykins, an aunt who I adored left us, she was a strong woman who worked hard her whole life and was never anything but honest. Guy Barnes, a man who worked two jobs, loved his family, even me, his oddball sister-in-law and lived to bowl. Lola Yvonne Jacobs...killed over time by the sick bastard who was our father. She left two amazing daughters who are strong, healthy and beautiful and two sisters who miss the little girl she once was.

So to hell with the fake celebs, the whining attention seekers and usual useless politicians...look back at the real people, the ones who made no news, but still made big impacts on the lives of those who loved them.
